Colbert Grills Perkins On Calif., S.C. Marriage Rights
May 29, 2008 – 1:38 pm
Stephen Colbert had anti-gay Tony Perkins on his show last night and gave him an earful on California’s gay marriage decision.
“Many are shocked and outraged,” Colbert said of the ruling. “I get the outrage, but shocked? That California is pro-gay? I assume these are the same people who were shocked when Elton John finally […]
Carrie and Samantha: Sexual Aphrodisiacs. Scarlett and Lady Jaye: Not So Much
May 22, 2008 – 11:53 am
ABC News has to stories making the rounds this week.
One is a somewhat off-beat look at the sexual revolution that Sex and the City has wrought:
You can only watch Samantha Jones bed so many gorgeous guys before wondering if 4-inch heels and sky-high confidence would allow you to do the same.
At least that’s what happened […]
The Bachelorette Wrap
May 19, 2008 – 8:29 pm
Our tongue-in-cheek look at The Bachelorette, focusing on the three South Carolina men after DeAnna’s heart.
Boring first half hour. A quick look at the eye candy makes me think our guys are in trouble.
Luke, right, seems really nice (oyster farmer), but he’s missing about 30 pounds of muscle and four inches (of height, perverts) that […]

Get ready, Charleston. All the insane comedy and drama that was The Bachelor: An Officer and a Gentleman, which had three Charleston ladies competing for the love of a Navy officers we called “Da Cheese,” is back with the latest version of The Bachelorette. Charleston has two guys pursuing spurned Bachelor finalist DeAnna Pappas: Donato, […]
Previously on Lost: What?
April 10, 2008 – 2:55 pm
This reminds me of a conversation that my partner had with his sister-in-law. They were discussing a rather important plot point in Lost revealed last year that ties directly into a less important plot point this season. Though an avid watcher of the show, she had no idea what he was talking about. She’s not […]
Viral Hits: Whole Lot O’ Late-Night F…ing
February 25, 2008 – 8:23 pm
Sarah Silverman hit first with her song to Jimmy Kimmel.
Then Jimmy struck back with his own number.
Charleston Out of American Idol
February 22, 2008 – 8:21 am
In the very first week of voting, the last remaining singer who auditioned in Charleston was voted off. Colton Ford Berry, we barely knew ya.
I’m just glad we’ve got 60s night behind us. It’s always the worst. Really.
Charleston Auditons Get One Spot In Top 24
February 15, 2008 – 2:23 pm
Colton Berry of Staunton, Va., was the only Charleston audition that made it to the top 24. I’m a little worried about his odds. Apparently, he was one of the dozen or so who sang “Everything I Do” by Bryan Adams.
Here’s a clip on his down-to-the-wire selection.
Bachelorette Auditions Saturday
February 4, 2008 – 3:37 pm
Last year, Press Time had a blast providing the tongue-in-cheek commentary necessary to make The Bachelor bearable. It appears that ABC is looking for a second season of the Bachelor Wrap.
We just got word that The Bachelorette will be holding a casting call in Charleston.
ABC’s Realty TV Series, The Bachelorette, will hold an open […]
