Yes, you may have heard that North Charleston was the 7th worst city for violent crime.
But tomorrow, oh tomorrow, Mayor Keith Summey will be presenting news that North Charleston is in the Top 10 of something else. And we’re assuming it’s good because they’re holding a press conference. Oh, and they’re calling it a “recognition.”

Sorry Greg, but I have more bad news. The United States Coast Guard is housing a Fugitive From Justice in their base in Charleston, SC. See this member is wanted in 3 states. This member has been convitied and sentenced to 3 years in jail, but the U.S.C.G. wants to hide and employ him because he is a member of their version of a SWAT team called the D.O.G. Apparently it’s among the top cottage communities according to a cottage living magazine. We’ve placed bets on the size of the ad North Charleston bought in the magazine. But we haven’t seen the issue yet.
